At Brylliant Futures the level of care is based on supporting young people with special and complex needs, each young person will be treated as an individual and there needs will be met
as such. All young people will be encouraged to be as independent as possible at all times, while meeting individual needs and care plans.
Brylliant Futures would initially go through an informal assessment period with each young person making sure that we are aware of each person’s needs and safety. When young peole are
staying with us at our accommodation, we would ensure that we offer a higher level of support particularly while they are settling in. We would initially risk assess any issues such as visitors, this
will be tailored to meet the individual. We work closely with social services and work together with everyone concerned on individual care plans. Brylliant Futures particularly encourages all young
people to take part as fully as possible in choices involving their own level of care.
Brylliant Futures helps with managing finances through regular meetings, helping young people with issues such as applying for benefits, or managing allowances or wages. Also covering
issues such as buying food and clothes, while still having spending money. Support will be given through these meetings to ensure dentist, doctors and opticians appointments are made and
There is support and help available 24 hours a day with someone always on call, we also offer a telephone line for help and support available 24 hours a day.
Once Young people are able to become fully independent, they will be able to move on into our independent accommodation and still receive support when needed. The availability of support
does not finish when they leave our independence training flats.
